Customers and members

The other side of the record.

Your customers, members and supporters never meet a password. They get a link to the email you already hold, and a portal that reads like a letter rather than a control panel.

Their record

What you hold about them, and how to correct it.

A customer spots a wrong postcode and asks for a correction. Roost records the request and sends it to TellParrot, where a person reviews it. The customer watches it move from asked to applied, and the request closes itself when the new value arrives.

  • A request, not an edit. The master record changes once, at the source, for every system that reads it.
  • Checked as it is typed. Each field has a rule for the workspace's country, so a postcode with a letter in it never reaches the queue.
  • Only what is theirs. The portal shows what the organisation has chosen to publish to them, and nothing about anyone else.

Their choices

A channel choice is honoured when the message goes, not when the list was built.

Email and text are separate decisions, each switched on, off, or paused by the person themselves. A campaign checks each person at the moment of sending, so a change of mind takes effect on the very next send.

On or off

One channel at a time

Yes to email and no to texts is an ordinary answer, and it is kept as one.

Paused

Quiet for a while

A pause lasts ninety days and ends by itself. Silence now is not the same as silence forever.

A receipt

The words they agreed to

A form keeps a consent receipt: the exact words shown and where they were agreed to.

Four reasons

Why a message did not go

A block from the master, a stop they asked for, a pause, or no address. Four different problems, kept apart.

Their money

Every payment has a receipt. Every regular payment has a way to stop.

Receipts

Everything they paid, in one list

Tickets, orders, gifts and memberships paid through your pages, each with its receipt, in the portal.

Memberships

Renew, or stop renewing

Renew from the portal, change the card on a hosted page, or stop the automatic renewal with one button.

Monthly gifts

A promise, a month at a time

A giver changes the card or stops the gift themselves. Receipt wording follows the workspace's country.

Bookings and invoices

Book it, pay it

A booking page with a link to cancel, and an invoice paid online with a receipt. Both in labs today.

Their family

A guardian sees a child's programme, once the organisation says so.

A parent asks to see a child's record by name and date of birth. Roost matches it against a registration with their contact on it, and a person at the organisation approves. Then they see sessions, attendance and consents on file. Access ends on the child's eighteenth birthday.

Messages

A secure line to you

Conversations with the organisation, answered from the inbox.

Lessons in the portal

Released over time, sold in the shop or given away, with completion recorded.

Next step

Give your customers a portal worth opening.

It comes with every workspace, and the sign-in link goes to the email your record already holds.
