Platform

The whole company in one workspace.

Most companies run on a pile of systems: a website builder, a CRM, a booking tool, invoicing, forms, a phone, a shared inbox, social, a newsletter, a shop. None of them agree on who a customer is. Roost is one workspace on one customer record, and every part of it is a switch.

The core

Always on, because nothing works without it.

The core is not a module. It is what Roost is, and it cannot be switched off.

People and notes

Every customer, member or supporter on one page: a timeline, tags, notes and dated follow-ups.

Segments

Saved views of your people, counted live against the latest delivery, and a list of who has gone quiet.

Inbox

Mail sent or copied to the workspace address lands in one place. Anything that cannot be placed waits rather than being dropped.

Consent

Every channel a separate yes or no, kept with the words agreed to, and checked at the moment of sending.

Payments

Orders, receipts and refunds in one place, whichever module took the money.

Feeds

People arrive from TellParrot as signed deliveries. What lands is the master record's word, not a guess.

Audit trail

Who did what, to whose record, and when. Exports and erasures are recorded in full.

Team

Staff sign in with an emailed link or Microsoft 365. What each person may do comes from one permission matrix.

Modules

Every module a switch.

Switch on what the company does and leave the rest out. A module switched off leaves the sidebar, refuses its screens and takes its public pages down. It deletes nothing, and switching it back brings everything back.

  • Volunteers

    Needs People

  • Office and agents

Everyone at a desk with an AI agent of their own beside them: give it a job, let it work on a routine, and approve what it wants to send or change. Agents read the records their person can see and send them to Anthropic on your own key.

    Needs People

  • Risk

What is waiting on each member of staff from TellParrot's registers, and reporting an incident in one question. TellParrot keeps the records; this needs it connected.

Labs

What Roost is trying next.

A lab is finished enough to use and not yet the default. Each one has a date: before it, an admin can switch it on; after it, an admin can switch it off. Settings shows the countdown.

  • Launchpad

A setup list per module that ticks itself off as the data arrives, with a guided tour into each screen.

  • Tag categories and colours

Group tags under a category, give each its own colour, and see them grouped on the person page and in the filter.

  • Appointments

A public booking page for a call or a visit, reminders before, and a follow-up when somebody does not show.

  • Invoices and payment links

An invoice with lines and a due date, paid online with a receipt; estimates accepted online that become invoices; invoices that repeat on a calendar; and a one-off link to pay any amount.

  • Phone

Calls to your number answered or taken as voicemail, every call logged against the person, and a text back when one is missed.

  • Website chat

A chat panel on your own website, answered from the conversations inbox.

  • Facebook and Instagram

Lead ads land as form submissions; Messenger and Instagram messages arrive in the conversations inbox.

  • Mailbox sync

Connect a Microsoft 365 or Gmail mailbox: email from people you know lands on their timeline, and replies go out from your own address.

  • Social planner

Schedule posts to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn from an approved story, with an evergreen queue.

  • Website templates and import

Start the website from a template for your kind of organisation, or bring pages and posts across from WordPress.

  • Courses

Lessons released over time, sold or free, taken in the portal, with completion recorded as a milestone.

  • Journey triggers and branches

Start a journey from an event rather than a segment, leave early when a goal is met, and branch on a condition.

  • Engagement score

A score built from rules you set over what people do, shown beside the risk signals and usable in a segment.

  • Email services

Bounces and complaints stop the next send, every bulk email carries a one-click unsubscribe header, your own sending domain is verified and warmed up, lists are checked before a send, and a deliverability view shows what arrived and what Gmail thinks of you.

  • Mailchimp campaign results

Opens and clicks from your Mailchimp campaigns land on each person's timeline and count in the engagement score.

  • Brevo and Campaign Monitor

Keep a Brevo or Campaign Monitor list in step with a segment, the way Mailchimp is: refusals pushed as well as permissions, unsubscribes and bounces back, and campaign results on each person.

  • Business advisor

Your business profile, a coach that tracks each staff member's targets and flags deals about to slip, which clients need attention and who to focus on next, and Roost Capture for saving a business from any web page.

What your customers see

The pages on the other side.

Each public page belongs to the module or lab that runs it, so it comes and goes with its switch. All of them write to the same customer record.

How a module is switched on

Say what you do. Roost proposes the switches, and says why.

In Settings, describe the company in your own words and tick what applies. Roost sets each switch and quotes the phrase that decided it. A person reads the proposal, changes what is wrong and saves.

  • The rules are plain words, not a model. They run as you type, and every one is a line in a test.
  • A tick outranks a phrase, because a tick is a statement.
  • A module that needs another brings it along, and says so.
Describe the organisation

We run a swim school. Families book term classes, and we keep a small shop for goggles and caps. A newsletter goes out each term.

  • People

What you described is about people.

  • Campaigns and journeys

    You said “newsletter”.

  • Conversations

    You said “Families”.

  • Shop

    You said “shop”.

  • Programmes

    You said “classes”.

The sentence above, run through the rules the product uses

Connected

The systems it talks to.

What is here is in the product today. Anything marked labs is working and waiting for its date.

Microsoft 365

Staff sign in with their organisation's Microsoft account. Mailbox sync, in labs, puts mail from people you know on their timeline.

Stripe

Your own Stripe account takes the money. Keys are stored encrypted, and every payment arrives with its receipt.

Mailchimp

Keep a Mailchimp audience in step with a segment, so the list you send to is the list you meant.

Twilio

Texts in and out. In labs, calls to your number are answered or taken as voicemail and logged against the person.

Facebook and Instagram

In labs: lead ads land as form submissions, and messages arrive in the conversations inbox.

Social planner

In labs: posts to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, scheduled from an approved story.

Accounting

The money leaves as a spreadsheet in the columns MYOB and QuickBooks import.

TellParrot

Underneath it all. It matches duplicates, keeps where each value came from, and delivers one governed record.

Next step

Start with the core. Switch on the rest.

Name the workspace, say what the company does, and read the switches Roost proposes. Nothing is on until you save.
